Thames Valley Education Foundation (TVEF) is marking its milestone 25^th anniversary with the inaugural Together We Care Celebration: Stories of Caring, a family-friendly fundraising event in support of the Foundation’s Caring Fund, taking place on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at the TVDSB Education Centre (1250 Dundas St, London).

For 25 years, TVEF has been dedicated to enriching public education and uplifting students across the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB). Through their Caring Fund, TVEF provides essential support such as food, clothing and emergency expenses to students facing urgent financial barriers, helping to ease the stress of families experiencing financial instability.

“This anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the stories that shaped us, highlight the lives we are supporting today, and look ahead to the future we are building together,” said Cecile Klerks, Executive Director of Thames Valley Education Foundation. “The Together We Care Celebration brings our community together to honour 25 years of caring while directly supporting the Caring Fund, ensuring students have what they need to learn and thrive.”

The Together We Care Celebration will feature food and beverages, art, music, dance and storytelling that highlight the impact of the Caring Fund and the Foundation’s history. The event will also include interactive experiences for all ages, such as a mobile arcade, hands-on creative activities with the London Public Library, and live performances by talented local high school musicians.

Tickets: Tickets for the event are now available, with all proceeds directly supporting the Caring Fund to continue its mission of supporting students and families in times of need. Get tickets

Life can present unexpected challenges, and The Caring Fund is there to support students and their families in times of crisis. Whether it's due to illness, housing instability, food insecurities, or other personal hardships, this vital Thames Valley Education Foundation initiative provides immediate, compassionate financial assistance to ensure that children can remain focused on their education. Contributions to The Caring Fund offer a lifeline to those facing difficult times, fostering resilience within the community.

Your support to the Caring Fund directly funds emergency financial support to students and their families. Since the first request was granted in 2008, the Caring Fund has supported over 7,100 students and families. That’s almost $2.1 million that has directly supported students in need. With your help, we are making sure that every student has the best chance to learn and grow.
