Family Well-Being Community Workshop: Talking to Elementary School Children about Relationships

Parents and Caregivers are invited to attend a virtual workshop on Thursday, April 11, 2024, to learn about how to talk to their elementary-age children about relationships.

Thames Valley District School Board and the London District Catholic School Board are proud to partner with the London Abused Women’s Centre to present the webinar “Families are Talking: Relationships for Elementary School Children.”

This webinar is offered as part of our Family Well-Being Community Workshop Series.

This presentation aims to support parents and caregivers to gain the confidence and skills to talk to their children about relationships. This webinar will cover topics including healthy friendships and relationships, including respect, equality and consent, as well as the differences between healthy, unhealthy and abusive behaviours, and the warning signs of intimate partner violence or exploitation. It will also consider being an approachable caregiver, family values and rules, keeping safe and building self-esteem.
